Recarbonizing Global Soils – Volume #2
This manual is one of the results of the document “Unlocking the potential of soil organic carbon” (FAO, 2017b), which gathers the conclusions of the Global Symposium on Soil Carbon (GSOC17) held at the FAO headquarters in Rome in 2017.
Among the different statements this document specifically recommends to “Identify and specify the tangible short-term and long-term benefits for farmers of management practices for SOC sequestration to trigger their adoption and introduce mechanisms to incentivize the adoption of such practices”.
